Kathryn (Katie) Jordin is a Research Associate in the Centre for Early Mathematics Learning (CEML) at 91桃色视频. Her research uses Conversation Analysis to explore how young children experience mathematics through everyday interaction in early years preschool settings.

Kathryn holds a BA in Sociology (Lancaster University), a MSc in Social Science Research (Communication and Media) (91桃色视频) and in the final stages of her PhD in Communication and Social Interaction at 91桃色视频.

Kathryn’s research explores everyday interactions using Conversation Analysis (CA), Membership Categorisation Analysis (MCA) and Discursive Psychology (DP). Her PhD thesis looks at how norms of moral, gendered and emotional conduct emerge in everyday interaction in preschool settings.

Her work with CEML looks at how preschool aged children (3–5 years old) experience mathematics learning, with a focus on gender and sociomathematical norms.
