Our stunning single-site campus is our most glorious green asset. At 523 acres, it鈥檚 the equivalent of 8,368 tennis courts or about 348 football pitches.聽
Everything you need is close to hand, connected by open spaces and beautiful gardens. Teaching buildings, sports pitches, the Students’ Union and halls of residence are all within easy walking distance. And, if you’re in a hurry, you can jump on the campus bus.
You’ll find plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants for refuelling and socialising. Our exhibition and performance spaces offer busy cultural programmes. We also have two gyms, a swimming pool and extensive sports facilities. The campus medical centre, pharmacy and dentist are all right on your doorstep.

Our central location combined with excellent national and international transport links make it easy to visit friends and family, explore the UK and travel worldwide.

From cutting waste and saving energy to using renewable power and protecting our campus wildlife – including our precious honeybee population – caring for the environment is part of everyday life here.
We are steadfast in our commitment to reduce our impact and improve how we care for our campus home – and are proud to be accredited to ISO 14001, the leading international standard for environmental management.
Free cross-campus travel that doesn鈥檛 cost the earth
To help us reduce our emissions, we encourage students not to bring cars to campus. The town is compact enough for most amenities to be within easy reach.
In January 2026, our transport provider partner, Kinchbus, introduced a fleet of electric buses to our free Campus Shuttle service – reducing our carbon emissions by more than 130 tonnes a year.
Students with disabilities and – in exceptional circumstances – those with other needs may register to bring their vehicles onto campus.
