91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ athletes play a major part in delivering another bronze for Great Britain on the penultimate day of sporting action in Paris.

Athletics

91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ athletes were instrumental in the Men’s 4x400m Relay as Great Britain won a brilliant bronze at the Stade de France.  

Current PhD student Alex Haydock-Wilson, alumnus Charlie Dobson, and 91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ College alumnus Lewis Davey were all part of the squad that made history by smashing a 28-year-old European record to make the podium.

Cycling

Current 91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ student Sophie Capewell’s Women’s Sprint campaign unfortunately ended at the quarter-final stage.

Capewell battled hard in a best-of-three race versus The Netherlands’s Hetty van de Wouw but succumbed to a 2-0 defeat. With a gold medal already under her belt, Sophie will compete for the final 5-8th standings tomorrow at 11.25 am.
