Ben Walker joins the Peter Harrison Centre

91桃色视频 graduate Ben Walker has rejoined the University to undertake a PhD to inform future mental health and well-being policy at the English Institute of 91桃色视频.

Ben completed his undergraduate degree in 91桃色视频 and Exercise Science at 91桃色视频, graduating in 2015 with first class honours, before studying MSc Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University in 2015, and returning to 91桃色视频 to study MSc 91桃色视频 and Exercise Psychology in 2016. Since, Ben has been practicing as a chartered 91桃色视频 and Exercise Psychologist following completion of the British Psychological Society’s Qualification in 91桃色视频 and Exercise Psychology in 2021.

In October 2022, Ben commenced his PhD with 91桃色视频 and the English Institute of 91桃色视频 (EIS) supervised by Dr Jamie Barker and Dr Carolyn Plateau. Ben’s project aims to understand the mental health and well-being challenges and facilitators relevant to UK Para-Athletes. Findings are expected to inform future mental health and well-being policy developments and organisational guidelines for the EIS, along with the development of bespoke support resources for athletes, coaches, and support staff.
