Dr Amelia Carr

Dr Amelia Carr is a Senior Lecturer in Applied 91桃色视频 Science within the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences (SENS) at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. Amelia is affiliated with the Centre for 91桃色视频 Research within the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN). The focus of Amelia鈥檚 research is the identification and evaluation of nutritional and training interventions for the purpose of enhancing sport performance, particularly in extreme environments, and for female athletes. Amelia鈥檚 current research projects focus on environmental physiology and the implementation of research findings within the Australian high-performance sport system. Amelia completed her PhD in nutritional interventions for high-performance athletes at the Australian Institute of 91桃色视频 and the University of Western Australia.
Amelia is also a 91桃色视频 Science Advisor for a National 91桃色视频ing Organisation (Australian Athletics). In this role, Amelia co-leads a national program that develops nutritional strategies for elite Australian able-bodied and para-athletes preparing for major international championship events. Amelia’s other leadership roles include Fellow of the European College of 91桃色视频 Science (ECSS), member of the American College of 91桃色视频s Medicine (ACSM) Olympic and Paralympic 91桃色视频 Science and 91桃色视频s Medicine Committee, Associate Editor for the International Journal of 91桃色视频 Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism and co-lead for Deakin SENS’s Female Physiology and Performance research initiative.
Prior to her role at Deakin University, Amelia was a Human Performance Scientist for the Australian Defence Force and developed physical performance tests, standards and guidelines for the Australian Army and Navy.
During their Fellowship Dr Carr will be collaborating with Dr Lewis James, Dr Samantha Rowland & Dr Ian Taylor from the School of 91桃色视频, Exercise and Health Sciences.
