The Biomechanics and Performance Analysis internship that was offered alongside my degree allows me to work among world-class athletes and coaches.

I consider myself to be very privileged having the opportunity to work with, and be taught by, leading academics in their specialist fields.

I took an internship with Leicester Riders Basketball Club, where I was able to apply my knowledge to practice and develop my practical skills.

We are always encouraged to apply the theory to practical situations and be critical of the literature to form future research ideas.

I found the well-blended mix of in-depth scientific learning, coupled with insightful knowledge of practitioners and guest lecturers particularly useful.

The advice I would give is to take all the opportunities that the course provides, whether that be getting involved in research or attending the open lab sessions.

In studying this course, my goal is to gain the skills and expertise which will help me improve in my role as an athletes’ representative, sports administrator, and future leader.
