The Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) will be hosting this coffee morning, where we will be joined by IAS Visiting Fellows Professor Mariana Araujo Lamego, Professor André Reyes Novaes and Professor Ye Zhou.

Come along for an informal in-person gathering with coffee and cakes to meet our Fellows, all are welcome.

Mariana Araujo Lamego is Associate Professor in the Department of Human Geography and the Postgraduate Program in Geography at the Institute of Geography of the State University of Rio de Janeiro. She graduated in Geography from the State University of Rio de Janeiro with an undergraduate degree (2004) and a master’s degree (2006) and was awarded her PhD in Geography at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2010).

André Reyes Novaes is Associate Professor at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He received his PhD from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and was an academic visitor at Royal Holloway, University of London (2009), and at the University of Nottingham (2012). In 2020, he was appointed an Honorary Research Associate in the Department of Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Professor Ye Zhou is a Distinguished Professor in the Institute for Advanced Study, Shenzhen University, China. He was elected as Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in 2021, Fellow of the Institute of Physics (FInstP) and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET) in 2022.
